About me
Hi, my name is Matt and I can provide automatic driving lessons in Leek and the surrounding areas.

Before embarking on my new career in the driver training industry, I was an experienced Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) with over 14 years in the healthcare sector, where teaching, mentoring, and supporting students played a major part in my role. Working closely with student practitioners in anaesthetics and recovery has given me a real passion for guiding others as they develop new skills - something I’m excited to bring into my work as a driving instructor.

One of the things I love most about teaching is that every learner is different. I enjoy the challenge of adapting my coaching style to each student, helping them grow in confidence and become safe, capable drivers. I also hold an HGV Class 2 licence, which adds to my understanding of road safety and vehicle awareness.

Outside of work, I like to keep active at the gym, play golf with my two daughters, and travel with my family whenever we get the chance.

Because of my background in healthcare, I’m fully up to date with Safeguarding Level 3, ILS, PILS, and I hold an enhanced DBS certificate - so you can feel confident that you’re learning with someone professional, responsible, and supportive.
